The Planned Parenthood abortion company has a new interim president. Alexis McGill Johnson replaces Leanna Wen, who Planned Parenthood fired today because she is not aggressively pro-abortion enough to take on President Donald Trump.
Johnson is no stranger to the Planned Parenthood abortion company as she has been the president of the board of directors for many years.
But if Leanna Wen was bad, Alexis McGill Johnson is even worse. Johnson believes that Christians can support abortions even though Christianity is entirely about a relationship with God through Jesus Christ that conquers Eternal death and brings forth eternal life.
“We all recognize that abortion and terminating a pregnancy is a very complicated decision, but that issue needs to be left to a woman, her doctor and her God, not a politician. I felt that it was a very insulting way of trying to suggest that we’re not capable of grappling with the implications of the decisions that we make,” Johnson said in 2014.
As for women of faith potentially grappling with matters related to abortion, Johnson, who told CP she is a Christian, said, “That’s a very complicated issue.” She added that Planned Parenthood has a “wide variety of support” from women clergy and ministers who are “members of faith.”
When asked specifically about how Planned Parenthood has been vilified by some conservative Christians and others in the right-to-life movement, Johnson said she found that the biggest misconception among opponents was the notion “that abortion is the only thing that we do.”
Pro-life advocate Ryan Bomberger disagreed and asked, “I wonder if Ms. Johnson, a self-professing “Christian”, could tell me which unborn child Jesus would rip apart limb from limb?”
