Sometimes a letter arrives in my mailbox that is so powerful, so filled with hope, that I cannot bear the thought of discarding it, no matter how high my mail pile may be.
That was certainly the case this past week, when I received a letter from my local pregnancy resource center.
In essence, the center had faced down the opioid crisis and in the process saved the lives of three people—a pregnant woman and her unborn twins.
The mother had come to the pregnancy center desperate, caught up in the cataclysmic cycle of addiction.
She was hooked on opioids, and she told a counselor, “There’s no way I can have these twins.”
But the counselor provided the loving support that led to miracles. The counselor did not abandon the woman, but continued to offer a listening ear through multiple visits and Ultrasounds.
In the end, the woman chose life for her baby boys. She consulted with an attorney and chose to place her children for adoption in an act of incredibly selfless love.

A new family formed and lives were forever changed through the kind and caring intervention of the pregnancy care center.
These types of miracles happen every day—beyond the notice of the mainstream media. They are why the thousands of pregnancy resource centers throughout the U.S. are such a force for good.
And they remind us, that in the wake of the weeds of addiction, heartache, and a pro-abortion culture, hope can bloom through a dedication to the preservation of all human life
