Students at Cornell University found an extra creative way to throw some more money at the country’s largest abortion vendor: pole dancing! That’s right; some of the most intelligent students in the nation hit the poles last Friday, selling tickets to support the biggest, most scandal-ridden terminator of lives our world has ever known. But they made it fun and edgy and that’s what counts.

Is pole dancing itself abortion-related? Nope. But it’s an interesting nod in the direction of the sex industry which is rife with abuse – something Planned Parenthood loves covering up in order to keep those expensive abortions coming in.

And let’s get real… with the passage of the Reproductive Health Act, New York has screamed to the world that they’re obsessed with abortion, through all nine months, and for any reason. The Planned Parenthoods in these students’ “own backyard” are probably doing just fine. The fawning student reporter who documented this event in Cornell’s newspaper made sure to specify that the pole dancers wanted to support “sexual health care.”

It’s a lot more pretty to call abortion “sexual health care.” Unless they literally mean sexual health care, like PAP smears and cancer screenings. Which would be odd since only .9% of Americans use Planned Parenthood for services and 96% of their services to pregnant women are abortion.

Here’s the kicker: Planned Parenthood gets more money every year but serves fewer people.

  • Between 2006 and 2015, the number of clients served by Planned Parenthood have dropped 19% while their revenue has risen 30%.
  • The amount of taxpayer funding that makes up their total revenue has also increased by 10%, from 33% in 2006 to 43% in 2015.
  • Cancer screenings and prevention services have dropped 58% since 2009 and abortions have skyrocketed from 289,750 in 2006 to over 328,000 in 2006.
  • Abortion is down over 12% nationally since 2010 yet only down by 1.6% for Planned Parenthood since 2010.
  • Prenatal services at PP have been cut in half since 2009.
  • From 2009-2013, Planned Parenthood’s abortion to adoption ratio is 209 -to-1.
  • In 2006, they committed one of every five abortions. In 2015, it’s up to one in every three abortions. (source: Planned Parenthood annual reports)

So… the next time an “alternative exercise” campus group is looking for a good charity to contribute to, there are approximately a million better options.
