MOSCOW, Idaho — A college co-founded by Reformed theologian Douglas Wilson is being questioned after inviting Andrew Klavan, a crime/thriller novelist and screenwriter for the pro-life “Gosnell” movie, to speak to high school students as part of an event teaching youth how to “engage the culture” for Christ.

Exposing the Works of Darkness

‘And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.’

Ephesians 5:11-12

Only if! The problem is so many in the so called Evangelical Church have blurred the meaning of sin. For example, practicing homosexuality is not really that bad, their salvation is between them and God. The other issue pertains to verse 12, it is no longer shameful to speak of the things that were once done the closet (Homosexuality). This is where we leapfrog to Romans 1, were mankind not only openly lives an ungodly lifestyle but they celebrate it (Romans 1:28-32).

‘And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.’

Romans 1:28-32

The bottom-line is a practicing homosexual is not a Christian to say otherwise is just stupid and in complete opposition to the Word of God.

‘Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, ‘

I Corinthians 6:9

‘But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.’

I Timothy 1:8-11

On the other hand, there are a great many former homosexuals that are Christians and will spend eternity with Lord.

‘And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.’

I Corinthians 6:11

God’s grace is saves to the uttermost.

‘Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.’

Hebrews 7:25

‘But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ‘

Romans 5:8

‘Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, ‘

THE GOOD NEWS

SALVATION

Salvation is a FREE GIFT from God. SALVATION IS BY FAITH ALONE & FAITH IS BELIEVING WHAT GOD SAYS.

1. God declares all mankind sinners and we all fall short of Glory of God. Romans 3:23
2. The payment for our sin is death. Romans 6:23
3. But God...because he loved you so much sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place, for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later. 1 Cor 15:1-4; 2cor 5:21

All God asks is that you believe by faith alone in 1, 2, & 3. That you're a sinner, separated from God but God sent his Son to die for your sins, was buried & rose again 3 days later.

'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. '

Romans 10:9
