They Profess to Know God But Are Not Christians

Scott Derrickson directed the movie Doctor Strange, Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Highly successful and accomplished his movies have reached millions of people worldwide. As such he has a large social media platform an is outspoken about his Christian faith on “Twitter”.

But his latest tweets are borderline idiotic and one especially may be up for dumbest tweet by a professing Christian in 2019. Just a few days ago Derrickson tweeted the following;

We Christians are not the solution. We are the core problem.

So what’s the solution Satan? This garbage is all over the internet. Where those professing to be Christians but in no way represent a Biblical Christ. (Titus 1:16)

More dumb tweets by Scott Derrickson:

  • We Christians are not the solution. We are the core problem.
  • Reject Christian nationalism — it’s a straight-up heresy.
  • Read the gospels — Jesus was about aiding the poor, the judged, the sick, and the socially oppressed.
  • Reckon with fear and racism — they are deceptively deep roots in the American faith.

The Gospel is the Solution

The problem is sin the solution is the gospel. Jesus Christ came in the flesh to shed His blood in death, was buried and rose again to take care of the sin problem. The gospel of the grace of God is the only solution to the sin and the curse.

Its obvious Scoot Derrickson has no idea what he’s talking about because what he says is not Biblical. His comments and tweets are dangerous because he reaches millions of people.

Why doesn’t Scott Derrickson tell his followers that God the Father sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins? The two verses below describe Scott Derrickson. I pray that God opens his heart to the gospel so he can share the good news with his worldwide platform.

Titus 1:16

Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

II Timothy 3:5
