Believers are commanded to do good for all, especially fellow Christians. But the command is to do good for all even the unsaved world. Our first duty is to share the good news (the gospel) that God through His only Son Jesus Christ has ALREADY reconciled the world to Himself through and by His Son’s death, burial, and resurrection (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).

We are also admonished to bear the burdens of those who are overwhelmed with heavy overbearing loads of difficulties.

‘Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. ‘

Galatians 6:2

We all have an opportunity at some point during each 24 hour period to do good for someone who is in need. A reminder, this isn’t a suggestion this is a command.

‘As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. ‘

Having been with the Goldsboro Police Department in North Carolina for the past nine years, Officer Michael Rivers has come to know the faces of the homeless in his community.

But Wednesday, he came upon a homeless woman he had never seen before. And her shirt caught his eye. It read: “Homeless. Salvation is a FREE GIFT from God. SALVATION IS BY FAITH ALONE & FAITH IS BELIEVING WHAT GOD SAYS.

1. God declares all mankind sinners and we all fall short of Glory of God. Romans 3:23
2. The payment for our sin is death. Romans 6:23
3. But God...because he loved you so much sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place, for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later. 1 Cor 15:1-4; 2cor 5:21

All God asks is that you believe by faith alone in 1, 2, & 3. That you're a sinner, separated from God but God sent his Son to die for your sins, was buried & rose again 3 days later.

'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. '
