Pope Francis Worships Carved Image of Mary Breaks 2nd Commandment

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 20:3

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

No Mention of Jesus Christ

There’s no doubt that what Jorge Bergoglio also known as “Pope Francis” said on the observance of the feast day is breaking the first and second commandments. You don’t have to be a seminary graduate to figure that out. Just read your Bible specifically Exodus chapter 20.

I teach a Bible class several times a week and I have to say that there are several Catholics that attend. There are also, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran and people from other denominations that attend my Bible studies. What’s my point? My point is not all Catholics worship Mary or put anything or anyone above Jesus Christ. I know that for a fact because they’re in my classes. I’ve talked to them at length about what they believe is required for salvation.

Death, burial and resurrection is the answer I get from everyone. By faith alone, no baptism, no works, no purgatory, no sacraments!

Again, my point is not to lump all Catholics in with this Pope and his complete disregard for the Word of God. Too often the fundamental side of Christianity goes overboard by placing all Catholics with everything the Catholic Church teaches.

What is tragic is that there are far more Catholics that follow the false teaching of Catholicism than there are that believe the true gospel like those in my Bible classes.

Horrors of Horrors! 1.2 Billion Catholics Worldwide

That’s a lot of people believing a false gospel. Not only is this Pope worshipping an idol but he expects the 1.2 billion other Catholics to do the same too. Not to mention the false gospel which is at the heart of their many problems.

It is just as important to know how a person is not saved as it is to know how a person is saved. The obvious and simple answer is rejecting the gospel. Not believing is not believing, but there is a more sinister way people are not saved. Which is, unfortunately, happening to millions of good Catholics every day.

The Gospel that saves mankind today is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

God makes it clear in Galatians 1:8,9 that there is just one gospel.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:8-9

That’s strong language. Paul’s the writer but God’s the Author and He makes it crystal clear what the gospel is and what it isn’t. So if there are any Catholics reading this or if you know if anyone that’s Catholic share with them the true gospel. It is the only the gospel that has the power unto salvation.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. ‘ Romans 1:16 

It is the gospel of the grace of God that mankind will be judged by at the Great White Throne.

In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (the gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

Romans 2:16

Salvation today is by believing by faith alone that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead three days later. Salvation is apart from the law. It is by faith and faith alone in Christ finished work on the cross that anyone is saved.

There is no scripture support for a works salvation.

ROME — Jorge Bergoglio, also known as “Pope Francis,” led Roman Catholics on Tuesday in the observance of the feast day called “The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God,” during which he expressed the hope that Mary would “protect” the people for the new year, and claimed that in times of trouble, men should not only “lift [their] eyes to our lady” but to also let Mary gaze upon them, for she is “our life, our sweetness and our hope.” His words have since been refuted by a former Roman Catholic as being unbiblical.

“May Mary, Mother of God, protect and accompany us during this new year and bring the peace of her Son into our hearts and the world,” Bergoglio tweeted this morning, generating over 62K likes as of press time.

Bergoglio delivered further remarks during mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, where he provided a message for the feast day, which is observed every Jan. 1 as the octave of Christmas on the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar.

“Especially in times of need, when we are entangled in life’s knots, we rightly lift our eyes to our lady,” he stated, according to the Catholic News Agency and a video posted to YouTube by Vatican News. “Yet first, we should let ourselves be gazed upon by our lady.”

“The eyes of our lady know how to bring light to every dark corner; everywhere they rekindle hope,” Bergoglio continued. “As she gazes upon us, she says, ‘Take heart, dear children; here I am, your mother!’”
