The Social Justice Gospel is Man Made, A Destructive Product of The Flesh
Social justice while proclaimed side by side or in most instances meshed together with the true gospel is steeped in wickedness and deceit. In the article “Falwell and Luther: a theology of glory versus a theology of the cross” the Author is reaching so far down in the gutter of fantasy-land theology to make the point that the Body of Christ, has been nothing but garbage. Before I continue I need to point out there are no Scripture references in the entire article. Not one.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28
Social Justice Gospel Is Rooted in Hate
Overall the contents of this article demonstrate the hate and wickedness of the social justice gospel. From the very first paragraph, the author compares Jerry Falwell to medieval crusaders, those that colonized America, and slave owners, are among a few examples. (her words)
The article references a made-up theology by Martin Luther called the “theology of glory” and “theology of the cross”. The author uses the narrative of these two theologies not to point out differences in doctrine. No, the purpose is to drive home the fact that if you are not a partaker in the “social gospel” you are not saved.
Just a cursory read of the article would show it’s condescending, highminded, and judgemental tone. Below is a portion of the article.
What should we make of Falwell, and what should we think of Luther? As Christians, we sometimes lose the scandalous, ugly nature of the cross – that the divine does suffer as an outcast. When we forget that, we attempt to make God in our own image, justifying our behavior in the process. We realize that to be a theologian of the cross requires ongoing self-reflection and repentance – in essence, humility. We discover our journey is long, our mistakes many. When we are seduced by the promise of power, wealth or protection, we turn against our own beliefs. We can too easily call evil good and good evil.
What? So…. basically you have no idea what you’re saying! The statement above has zero to do with Christ crucified and more like empty deceit.
Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
Colossians 2:8
What’s the Opposite of Grace?
The Social Justice Gospel.
Beloved the social justice gospel is dreadful and the antithesis of grace. When Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross and died. He died for the sins of everyone, once. God doesn’t run a background check, look’s at our skin color, measure our height, weight, and vertical leap. Nope. If we believe the gospel He saves us. That’s His promise.
The social gospel falsely proclaims and would have everyone believe that God is somehow checking the regret meter of every human being. And based on how sorry you feel for “whatever” you’ve done to treat any one person or entity wrongly will depend on whether or not you get into heaven.
Like I said the social justice gospel is the antithesis of the gospel of the grace of God.
WARNING!! WARNING!! DON’T BELIEVE THE SOCIAL GOSPEL
The gospel is clear and simple but Satan and his ministers of light are among the Church perpetrating this false gospel of social justice. Any deviation from the revealed gospel of grace will result in condemnation for those proclaiming it and for those that believe it.
There is only one gospel that saves today and it is best defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
I Corinthians 15:1-4
God warns mankind twice that if anyone even if an angel should preach any other gospel than the gospel in 1 Corinthians 15 they will be accursed.
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:8
As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:9
So What Does the Theology of the Cross Really Look Like?
To conclude the article the author asks the question. “What does a theologian of the cross look like?”
You would think this would be the place for the Word of God to enter right? Nope! Not even close. The best place to find answers to ANY question is from the Word of God, any other source is of the flesh and absolutely useless. So what does a theologian of the cross look like? One passage popped up right away;
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
The apostle Paul would be a far better example of a theologian of the cross than say…. anyone else. Wouldn’t you think? Since it was the apostle Paul that received the gospel of grace from the risen and glorified Lord Jesus. Right?
Jesus Christ put an end to all injustice, sin, the curse, death and defeated Satan at the cross. Don’t allow the social justice warriors to diminish what Jesus Christ already accomplished.
