ROME, Italy, April 9, 2020 ( LifeSiteNews ) – Pope Francis doubled-down on his belief that the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping around the world is “certainly nature’s response” to man’s failure to address humanity’s impact on the environment.
When asked in an interview published by The Tablet on Wednesday if the current crisis and the economic devastation it is wreaking is a chance for an “ecological conversion,” the Pope responded: There is an expression in Spanish: “God always forgives, we forgive sometimes, but nature never forgives.” We did not respond to the partial catastrophes. Who now speaks of the fires in Australia, or remembers that 18 months ago a boat could cross the North Pole because the glaciers had all melted? Who speaks now of the floods? I don’t know if these are the revenge of nature, but they are certainly nature’s responses.
In March, the Pope said he believes that the coronavirus pandemic is nature “having a fit” in response to environmental pollution. “Fires, earthquakes … that is, nature is having a fit, so that we will take care of nature.”
During his homily at the Urbi et Orbi ceremony on April 1, Pope Francis returned to his theme of linking the coronavirus pandemic to a response from the planet to environmental pollution. “In this world, that you love more than we do, we have gone ahead at breakneck speed, feeling powerful and able to do anything. Greedy for profit, we let ourselves get caught up in things, and lured away by haste. We did not stop at your reproach to us, we were not shaken awake by wars or injustice across the world, nor did we listen to the […]

The world has great hope in spite of the Pope’s ridiculous statements. Statements that are in complete opposition to all of Scripture
The Pope who is 83 years old, appeared ill weeks several weeks ago but tested negative for the Wuhan Virus according to reports.
Recall that near the end of last year Pope Francis was so fed up with ‘climate-change deniers’ that he was on the verge of declaring a new sin — ‘Ecological Sin’.
“We must introduce—we are thinking—into the Catechism of the Catholic Church the sin against ecology, the ecological sin against the common home, because it’s a duty,” the pope told an audience of legal experts at the Vatican in November 2019.
We Have Hope
That hope, the good news is the gospel of the grace of God. The absolute free gift of salvation offered to all mankind regardless of their status in life, how many sins they’ve committed in spite of how awful those sins may or may not be God has “already” (past tense) reconciled the whole world to Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The Good News
- The Good News is that God has already reconciled the whole world to Himself through His Son Jesus Christ death, burial and resurrection. (2 Corinthians 5:18,19) Jesus Christ did everything God the Father demanded of Him to pay the price for all the sin in the world. (John 1:29)
- The “Good News” is Jesus Christ died, for you, for me, for everyone, God didn’t check our backgrounds, Jesus didn’t check to see if we qualified for His sacrifice NO WAY. HE JUST DIED FOR US, WAS BURIED FOR US, AND RESURRECTED 3 DAYS LATER FOR YOU, ME AND THE WHOLE WORLD. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
- All God asks is that we believe it. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
