Feminists Disappointed After Their Own Poll Shows Millennials Don’t Rabidly Support Abortion

February 21, 2020

A new poll commissioned by the pro-abortion magazine Teen Vogue did not get the results that abortion activists had hoped.

Conducted by IPSOS among 18-34 year old voters, the poll found that abortion is not a top priority for Millennials at the voting booth.

This puzzled the abortion activists at Teen Vogue because, according to them, “we live in a time when abortion is perhaps more at risk than it has been since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.” They noted that states passed 25 pro-life laws in 2019, and the U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear an important abortion case in March.

It did not make sense to them why young voters are not more worried. “Since the majority of people who have abortions fall within the age range of those polled, why don’t more voters prioritize reproductive rights?” they asked.

The poll found that Millennial voters do tend to be more supportive of abortion than the general population, but they do not consider it a voting priority. According to the poll, “abortion seems to fall to the bottom of what they prioritize when they choose a candidate.”

Here’s more from the article:

Of the 2,206 respondents to the poll, only 20% ranked reproductive rights a top priority for American political leaders to address. Twenty-eight percent ranked it a high priority, while 27% said it was somewhat of a priority. Of the respondents who did rank abortion a high priority, most were women, and most fell in the 18-24 age range. Democrats were most likely to rank reproductive rights a top priority, with 26% ranking it so, while 14% of Republicans and 17% of Independents agreed.

According to IPSOS, young voters ranked healthcare (92%), the economy (91%) and education (91%) as their top priorities when voting.

The poll did find support for taxpayer-funded abortions among young voters, but it also found that young voters support allowing states to restrict abortions after a certain period in pregnancy.

According to the poll: “Six in ten Republicans support allowing states restrict the timing of abortion (63%), compared to 34% of Democrats and 48% of Independents. Just over eight in ten Democrats support allowing federal funding for women’s health and family planning services, including abortion (81%) while 49% of Republicans say the same.”

In contrast, a 2019 poll of Millennial voters commissioned by Students for Life of America found that a large majority oppose unlimited abortions up to birth and taxpayer-funded abortions. Just 7% shared the position of the Democratic Party Platform, which supports abortion without restriction and taxpayer-funded abortions.

Consistently through the years, polling data has shown that the abortion issue is more motivating to pro-life voters than it is to abortion advocates. Polling among all age groups also consistently finds strong opposition to abortion without restriction up to birth and taxpayer-funded abortions — the position of the current Democratic presidential candidates.

The contrast between the 2020 presidential candidates on abortion could not be more stark. All of the top Democrat candidates support abortions without restriction through all nine months of pregnancy and want to force taxpayers to pay for them. The party platform boasts a radical pro-abortion agenda as well. In 2012, Democrat leaders removed the word “rare” from their abortion platform, and, in 2016, added language calling for taxpayer-funded abortions. Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg recently even refused to welcome pro-life Democrats into the party.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has developed a strong record of enacting pro-life policies, appointing conservative judges, defunding abortion providers and exposing the Democrats’ extreme pro-abortion agenda.

THE GOOD NEWS

SALVATION

Salvation is a FREE GIFT from God. SALVATION IS BY FAITH ALONE & FAITH IS BELIEVING WHAT GOD SAYS.

  1. God declares all mankind sinners and we all fall short of Glory of God. Romans 3:23
  2. The payment for our sin is death. Romans 6:23
  3. But God…because he loved you so much sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place, for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later. 1 Cor 15:1-42cor 5:21

All God asks is that you believe by faith alone in 1, 2, & 3. That you’re a sinner, separated from God but God sent his Son to die for your sins, was buried & rose again 3 days later.

‘that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ‘

Romans 10:9
