Josh Harris yesterday posted numerous pictures of himself at a gay pride parade, prompting questions about whether something other than existential angst had prompted the best-selling Christian author to kiss his marriage and faith goodbye. Also, five days ago, Harris posted something to Instagram that indicated Harris wasn’t quietly walking away from Christianity, but wholly embracing another path.
“That old Bukowski poem has been ringing in my ears. ‘If you’re going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don’t even start,’” Harris wrote. He further stated that it’s important to him “to refuse to disappear. To live my life. Hold my head up. Look my Christian friends in the eyes and smile when I pass them on the sidewalk. Even the seemingly insignificant act of posting a picture on Instagram is important for me. To say I’m here, I’m alive, I’m not ashamed.”
Below are pictures from Josh Harris at a gay pride parade:
First, there should be no question why Josh Harris did what he did! He wants to live an ungodly life style and he wants to do it openly mocking God and taking many people down as he falls. This is done in the open, without shame and for all to see. This is what the Adamic Nature does naturally, when it hasn’t been crucified to the cross and unfortunately in his case, being the influencial person that he is, he is no doubt leading many people through the wide gate and right into the lake of fire.
Second, in his Christianity farwell address he said the following and it ties into his latest gay pride parade photos:
Joshua Harris, the author who became famous for his 1997 book, I Kissed Dating Goodbye, announced that he is no longer a Christian. “I have undergone a massive shift in regard to my faith in Jesus,” Harris wrote. “The popular phrase for this is ‘deconstruction,’ the biblical phrase is ‘falling away.’ By all the measurements that I have for defining a Christian, I am not a Christian.” Harris added that he is open to “a different way to practice faith,” but is “not there now.”
Harris also apologized in his post for “self-righteousness, my fear-based approach to life, the teaching of my books, my views of women in the Church, and my approach to parenting.” These he has apologized for before, but today, he announced he had another regret.
“I specifically want to add to this list now: to the LBGTQ+ community, I want to say that I am sorry for the views that I taught in my books and as a pastor regarding sexuality. I regret standing against marriage equality, for not affirming you and your place in the church, and for any ways that my writing and speaking contributed to a culture of exclusion and bigotry.”
The bottom line is that Josh Harris, chose an ungodly life over the gospel of grace. Completely rejecting revealed truth.
Homosexuality is a Detestable and Unnatural Act
Yes. Men having sex with each other is an abomination and condemned by God. Women having sex with each other is also an abomination and condemned by God. This isn’t new news, it’s not like all of sudden Christians have come on the scene proclaiming sodomy is a immoral act and a sin in eyes of God.
23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman Because she was taken out of Man.” 24 For this reason, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
“Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
Scripture is crystal clear on the subject of homosexual behavior, same-sex marriage, and all sexual immorality.
God is also clear on marriage. Marriage is between one man and one woman. Hard to twist Genesis 2:23 & 24, right? There’s nothing in these two verses about a man marrying a man or women be joined with a woman is there?
“Amoral” – lacking a moral sense; unconcerned with the rightness or wrongness of something.
Why did it happen?

THE GOOD NEWS
SALVATION
Salvation is a FREE GIFT from God. SALVATION IS BY FAITH ALONE & FAITH IS BELIEVING WHAT GOD SAYS.
- God declares all mankind sinners and we all fall short of Glory of God. Romans 3:23
- The payment for our sin is death. Romans 6:23
- But God...because he loved you so much sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place, for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later. 1 Cor 15:1-4; 2cor 5:21
All God asks is that you believe by faith alone in 1, 2, & 3. That you're a sinner, separated from God but God sent his Son to die for your sins, was buried & rose again 3 days later.
'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. '
